The RCS800 and APEX^®280 connectors are designed to cope with high voltage applications (400 - 750V) and offer high level of sealing as male and female housings are fully sealing in both mated and unmated positions. Their high performance terminals enable high level of operating current, from 35 A to 250 A.

Given that both technicians and end users will need to access the engine bay, exceptional levels of failsafe protection against the threat of electrocution must be provided. Shielding against EMC is another key feature as electromagnetic interference is another major issue that needs to be addressed, along with the requirement to keep size, weight and cost to a minimum.
