Many OEMs have rules for connector selection in order to coordinate how wiring connects to the devices installed on their products. Efficient service operations is also a consideration for certain industries. 
 
Before you design in a connector, be sure to check with your OEM’s supply chain to see if it has a connector approval system and whether FCI’s APEX^® is approved for use.

Switch to a different connector brand that is already approved.
